I Hustle to Be – Jeff Moore

About this week’s episode: A hustler must know themselves in order to pursue their calling. Jeff Moore shares his story of the importance of self-discovery, and the value of knowing yourself and the value you bring in order to forge ahead on the journey of hustle.

About our guest: Jeff is the Founder and Managing Director of Elcrist Advisors, a Corporate Strategy, Growth Strategy, and M&A Advisory firm.

He has over 20 years of global leadership experience, both business and military. He has served in leadership roles in Fortune 1000 companies including GE Capital, Teleflex Incorporated, The Home Depot Supply, and Sodexo.

Jeff has expertise in corporate strategy, business development, M&A, financial analysis, and operational improvement. He has leveraged this expertise to manage large, complex, and international projects across a diverse group of industries including Consumer Electronics, Facilities Management, Transportation/Logistics, Wholesale Distribution, and Outsourced Solutions.

He served as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps. He achieved the rank of Captain and is a Desert Storm veteran where he was deployed to Southwest Asia in 1990-1991.

His international experience also includes living, working, and studying in Western Europe and South Africa.

He grew up and started his educational journey in the small southwest Alabama town of Atmore, AL.  Jeff considers himself and his generational cohorts the direct beneficiaries of the Civil Rights Movement of the 60’s and considers himself a part of the “Reset Generation”.  The “Reset Generation” being defined as those born in the heart of the Movement in the mid to late 60s and perhaps among the first to experience the new normal of integration in public institutions during their formative years.  

Jeff holds a Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Jeff also studied International Business at the ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
